Getting around Shaker is easy and interesting.  The streets twist and turn throughout the area. Just click and maneuver around our town.

The Sussex area of Shaker Heights was determined by the boundaries originally established for the  students at Sussex Elementary School.  It runs along the East side of Warrensville Center Road at Scottsdale Boulevard to the south, then west to Lynnfield Road, and then north to Shaker Heights Country Club.

Each Elementary School created its own "Community", and even after changes in use of the school buildings, the "Community" continued.  Each developing their own approach to life in Shaker. 

Today the old Sussex Elementary School has become the Shaker Family Center addressing the needs of the very young residents of the area.
